 Bacillus subtilis
I wanted to obtain a live culture of Bacillus subtilis for some experiments. It is non-pathogenic, Gram-positive bacteria. I am obviously not part of an institution, so most of the companies that I looked at only sold live cultures to registered institutions. I don't know why they would not sell this bacteria to independents since it is non-pathogenic. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could obtain this culture. I was thinking of checking at Japanese restaurants that sold natto if I could get cultures from them.
Thanks

 Re: Bacillus subtilis
Pity you didn't post this one on DIYbio list too, I'd have happily sent you some! Still interested?
I have lab strain 168, one of the most commonly used cultures in B.subtilis research.
