i am wondering if transfection can be do to spores or cell of Pleurotus ostreatus
or any other mushroom such that

intending to do transfection just like a normal transfection of bacteria but to the spores or to some cell..
and after culturing these cell or spores on a petri dish
and trying to continu of cultivating the mushroom by spores as normaly i do
and the gene be transfered to further generation

What method of transfection were you considering?

I recently saw an article about transfection of Pleurotus by particle bombardment. I don't know too much about this, do a literature check online.
