I was wondering about using virus vectors to insert a gene into a genome in a multicellular organism with a large genome. You know, where it's so large that the regular cutting enzymes won't really do well to just insert the single gene into the cells? Could someone help me find a good place I can learn more about how to do vector gene insertion?

It depends on how you want to insert the gene. If you just want random integration there is for example retroviral vectors that can do it. If you want to target the integration to certain area you could use for example zinc finger nucleases (though designing them is a comlpetely different story).
