I have read several articles talking about this for use in stimulating muscle growth. Ranging disease repair, to bodybuilding enhancers. I have also seen the bodybuilding market flooded with fakes and ripoffs claiming to work as a mysostatin inhibitor like the one mentioned in the wiki article. My question is, is there a real myostatin blocker out there for public use, are they all just blowing smoke? Can a real one be made in a biohacker lab?

Sorry if this a newbie mistake to ask these kinds of questions so early on, but i am curious about this topic. Just wondering if I am barking up the wrong tree so to speak.

It sounds like that drug was in development that would function as a myostatin-inhibitor. This drugs sounds like a sort of recombinant monoclonal antibody.
Monoclonal antibodies are made by culturing B cells from the spleens of mice generally. It sounds like the drug company cloned a few monoclonal antibody genes from a monoclonal antibody producing cell line that bind to myostatin then made a human analog of it.

This approach is very, very capital intensive and probably not feasible from a biohacker perspective. It would probably be more effective (though it has probably been done) to do a small-molecule screen to look for compounds that might inhibit myostatin function.

As far as practical usage is concerned: Are there any (dietary) products containing natural myostatin inhibitors?
